About Dominic Kauffmann
As A Performer
Dominic is a New York All State saxophonist who is pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Music Education at Hofstra University. While playing saxophone at Hofstra, Dominic has had the opportunity to gig with bands and musicians from all over Long Island. Most notably, Dominic performs with Hank Lane Music- a wedding band and private event company. Providing live music for numerous restaurants across both Nassau and Suffolk County, he continues to wow audiences with memorable songs.
As A teacher
Dominic teaches saxophone, flute, clarinet, and piano to all ages- most recently preparing a few students for their NYSSMA festivals. He has studied under masterful saxophonists, such as The New York Philharmonic's very own Steven Kenyon, and jazz musician Alejandro Aviles. Dominic also teaches lessons for the Long Island Studio of Music, and Family Melody Centers in Patchogue. Most importantly, Dominic understands that learning and making music should be fun!
